PlusOne is for students in sixth through twelfth grade. Middle school and high school meet on different nights, because a sixth grader and a senior are not in the same place.
Both groups spend the year on the same three questions: who you are, where you belong, and what you are for. They get asked out loud, and the adults in the room answer them straight.
"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go."
Joshua 1:9

A student can be here from sixth grade to graduation. What that adds up to usually looks like some version of these four things.

A second set of people their own age, from other towns and other schools, with none of the history that comes with a hallway.

Small group leaders who stay with the same students for years, and who will support parents by giving a straight answer to an awkward question.

Teaching that expects the hard questions instead of deflecting them, so what they believe at eighteen is genuinely theirs.

Service projects and community nights are part of the ordinary year, not a special event, so serving is a habit before it is ever a decision.
Two groups, two nights, both 7:00pm to 8:45pm. Parents fill in one form before a student’s first night, and that covers the year.
Grades 6 to 8
1st, 2nd and 3rd Tuesdays, 7:00pm to 8:45pm. Games, a message, worship, small groups and dessert. Some nights are out in the community. Led by Jennifer Carey.
Grades 9 to 12
Wednesdays, 7:00pm to 8:45pm, with no meetings in July and August. Bible study, teaching, worship, small groups and dessert. Fourth Wednesdays are community nights or service projects.
Come on a night that suits, and come with a friend if that makes it easier. We will find your student a group rather than leave them standing at the edge of the room.
If you would rather ask something first, one of us will answer. Jen has middle school, Jon has high school.
