FAMILIES AT GRACE

Family ministry at Grace Chapel in Bedminster, New Jersey: kids, students, moms and marriage.

On Sunday your kids have their own teaching, where the Bible is taught at a level they can understand. Your teenager has a group that meets midweek. There’s a group for moms, and one for married couples.

Kids

Newborn through 5th grade, Sunday mornings.

Students

6th through 12th grade, middle school and high school.

Moms

For moms of children from birth through college.

Marriage

For newly married couples and young families.

For your kids

Grace Kids

Grace Kids is for children from newborn through 5th grade. Nursery care covers birth through age two, and children's church runs Pre-K through 5th grade.

Every class hears the same Bible lesson in the same week, taught at a level each age can understand, so the conversation keeps going in the car and at the dinner table. Children as young as three begin memorizing Scripture. Check-in and check-out run through Planning Center, and every volunteer clears a background check.

For your teenager

PlusOne Youth

PlusOne Youth is for students in 6th through 12th grade, meeting in two groups: middle school for 6th through 8th grade, and high school for 9th through 12th grade.

A night together means games, worship, teaching from the Bible, small group discussion, and dessert. The small group is where it lands: the same students and the same leader, working through identity in Christ, belonging in a church family, and purpose as a disciple. High school also gathers off site for community nights and service projects.

For moms

Grace Moms

Grace Moms is for mothers of children at any stage, from birth through college graduation.

The group meets through the year for Bible study, shared meals, and Moms Mentoring Moms, where mothers further down the road answer the questions the rest are living in right now. Childcare is provided when you sign up ahead.

For married couples

Marriage & Family Life

Marriage and Family Life is for newly married couples and young families, the season when a household is being formed and the patterns set early are the ones that hold.

Couples gather through the year for events and community with others in the same stage of life.

Before you come

Questions parents ask

Is Grace Kids open at both services?
Grace Kids runs during the 10:30 service. The 8:30 service is a worship service without children's programming, so most families with young children come at 10:30.
Where do I check my child in?
Check-in is on the upper level of Grace Chapel, 375 Main Street in Bedminster. There is parking on site and more across the street at the old schoolhouse, and volunteers are outside to point you in.
Are your volunteers background checked?
Yes. Every volunteer who works with children clears a full background check through Protect My Ministry. Check-in and check-out run through Planning Center, and a guardian has to check a child out, so no child leaves with anyone else.
My teenager does not want to come. What then?
That is normal, and it is not something to fix in one week. PlusOne Youth is built on small groups, the same students with the same leader, so a teenager gets known by name before anyone asks them to say much. Most students come the first time because a friend brought them.
Is there childcare at Grace Moms?
Yes. Childcare is provided when you sign up ahead, which is what lets them staff it with enough volunteers.
