The Net

As Jesus selected his first disciples many seemed to be connected with the sea and fishing. As Jesus invited them to walk with Him, we read that they "dropped their nets" and followed Him. I don’t read that Jesus asked them to drop their nets, they just did so. And then they followed. But later we read these disciples cared for their nets. Nets were dropped, nets were mended, and then after His resurrection nets would again figure large in their lives. This Sunday we will unpack nets in the lives in followers of Jesus.
