Philemon: Live Free or Set Free

Slavery is an ugly thing. Yet tragically so much of ancient culture lived it as normality. There were many forms of slavery; forced, inherited, convenient and even voluntary.
The same can be said of our hearts/minds/souls. Whether it seems normal, forced, inherited, convenient or voluntary, there are things, people, behaviors, attitudes and habits that enslave us and keep us from living free. Jesus came to make us free...and to stay free indeed!
We, His people, have the power of life and death, freedom and bondage on our tongues and at our finger tips.
We’ll explore the book of Philemon and Paul’s call for us to “do the right thing”; To live free & set others free!
