Day 14: Traci Rowland
Verse: Revelation 12:11a They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony…
God is Still Writing My Testimony
This year, I’ve come to a powerful realization: God is not finished writing my testimony.
Sure, if someone asked me to share my testimony, I could offer one. Most of us could. But that would only be a snapshot — a glimpse of a moment in time. The truth is, God’s work in us is ongoing. Every lesson, every trial, and every triumph adds another chapter to our story.
We might share parts of our testimony, like how we came to know the Lord, how He performed a miracle in our lives, or how He guided us through a season of struggle. But our full testimony? That story won’t be complete until we stand before our Lord and Savior in heaven.
This perspective brings me peace, especially when I see my adult children navigating their own struggles. I remind myself that God is still writing their testimonies too. He’s at work in them, just as He’s at work in me. My role is not to control their journey but to pray, offer support, and trust God’s process, and not to worry.
When friendships face challenges or relationships feel broken, I remind myself that God is still at work in those stories as well. None of us are finished. In those moments, I’m called to love, seek forgiveness, pray, and be still — trusting that God is doing what only He can do, to them and to me.
The moment we believe our testimony is complete, we stop growing, learning, and becoming the people God created us to be. Our testimonies are living, breathing reflections of God’s grace, and He will continue to write them for as long as we live.
Prayer
Lord, thank you! For loving us, for caring about us, for constantly refining us and molding us. Thank you for telling Your story through us! Help us to be open to your teaching and correction and help us to praise you through it all.
… And I know it's not much, but I've nothing else fit for a King except for a heart singing hallelujah… Gratitude by Brandon Lake
