Day 11: Matthew Aber & Tori Breeman

“Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.” Hebrews 11:1

Relationship Testimony of Tori Breeman and Matt Aber:

Tori: I grew up in a faith-based home and was always a believer in Jesus Christ. Throughout my life I went in and out of friend groups and had different boyfriends. I regularly attended church with my family but it got to a point where I felt like I was just going through the motions of being a Christian. I was at a stand-still and wasn’t fully rooted in my faith.

Towards the end of 2023 during my Fall semester at college, I started to make strides back towards my faith by not only attending church, but by praying more, reading Bible verses, and eventually attending a Bible study.

By late November I had met my now boyfriend Matt who I have been with for one year. I learned that it wasn’t until I committed myself to the Lord and fully trusted Him, that He would send me the person I was praying for; the Jesus-loving boyfriend that I am so grateful for!

Matt: I grew up in a home that believed in Jesus, but didn’t actively practice Christianity. I never saw the real power of Jesus until I started putting Him first in my own life. And it wasn’t until I met Tori that I started consistently going to church and began learning more about the intricacies of the Bible.

After finding Grace Chapel and attending weekly service, I learned the importance of fostering a Godly relationship. Having God at the center of life has truly changed our relationship for better.

Together, we continue to seek Him, grow in our relationship and we couldn’t ask for anything more. Together we have grown tremendously in our faith.

Over this past year we have started attending church regularly. We started doing daily Bible plans on the Bible app every day to remind us of His faithfulness and to learn more about our God. We know our relationship will not always be easy but with God at the center we will get through.

We are so excited for what God has in store for our future and excited to continue growing on our faith journey together. For anyone who feels like they are in the waiting season right now, our advice to you is to continue your walk with the Lord and God will provide you with the right person in HIS time. So be patient and strengthen your own relationship with Jesus, the one who sacrificed His life for us,  and the one who will never leave us or forsake us.

Prayer
I pray for whoever is in the waiting season right now; that you would trust the Lord with all your heart. Know that God will send you the right person at HIS perfect time. So be patient, walk with the Lord, serve HIM and know that you are worthy.
