Day 13: Jeannine Janssen
Psalms 117:1-2
”Praise the Lord, all you nations; extol Him, all you peoples. For great is His love toward us, and the faithfulness of the Lord endures forever. Praise the Lord.“

The faithfulness of the Lord endures forever! What a powerful statement the psalmist makes; that our great, almighty God loves us and shows His faithfulness to us and the nations, forever.
What man-made system, god or human can make that claim and boast that their faithfulness endures forever? None!
But our God can and shows us daily He faithfully loves us.
We as fallible human beings, in fallible nations, can’t produce such mighty love, greatness and faithfulness, but our Almighty King of Kings does! As such He deserves all of our love, adoration and complete service since He so unswervingly and faithfully cares for us, His creation.
When we’re in our darkest need, when we’re sick needing healing or thinking He doesn’t hear or quickly answer our desperate prayers, it’s so easy to listen to the lies that God doesn’t care and does not remain faithful.
But that’s not the truth about our faithful God. His word tells us that He greatly loves us and His faithfulness endures and endures forever!
During my lifetime I have cried out to God for my needs and for those of my family and friends and have seen Him lovingly and faithfully come through for us. Maybe the answers didn’t come exactly in the way or in the timing that I thought they would, but I can say with full assurance, that my mighty God has been faithful to me. And so I extol Him and praise Him for His enduring faithful love.
The lyrics to the hymn “Great is thy Faithfulness” so readily communicate His faithful attributes …what a declaration of praise to our God.
Great is Thy faithfulness, O God my Father; There is no shadow of turning with Thee; Thou changest not, Thy compassions, they fail not; As Thou hast been Thou forever wilt be.
Great is Thy faithfulness! Great is Thy faithfulness! Morning by morning new mercies I see: All I have needed Thy hand hath provided—Great is Thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me!
