Day 10: Janet Ressa
Hebrews 13:20-21
"Now may the God of peace, who through the blood of the eternal covenant brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, equip you with everything good for doing His will, and may He work in us what is pleasing to Him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen."
~
Pastor James preached on Ecclesiastes 3; that there is a time and season for everything. I have always loved volunteering in the children’s ministry. It was a blessing sharing God’s love and His Bible by assisting with the Bible lesson. Unfortunately I had to stop volunteering in the Children’s Ministry. I knew that it was going to be a new season of service for me.
Not knowing where God would use me next, I prayed for the Holy Spirit to guide and direct me towards a way to serve. I wouldn’t have thought I’d be serving now at the Grace Welcome Desk. Could/Would I step out of my “comfort zone”? Would I be outgoing enough to welcome and serve in this way? So many times in my life God has been my strength, comforter and has gone before me. And so I committed to Him that my answer would be “YES!”
~
"Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for sending your Son Jesus to show us how to serve your family. I give you the praise as you can use me even with my weaknesses and faults and have equipped me with all I need to serve."
