Day 31: Cindy Panza
Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Through Him we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God. Not only that, but we rejoice in our suffering knowing that suffering produces endurance and endurance produces character and character produces hope. Romans 5:1-4
In it All – God is Faithful!
I started thinking back over the years, about the important times in our lives that decisions were made by us, yet now I can see it was God directing our steps all along.
This May, James and I will be married 34 years and have completed 15 years at Grace Chapel. It feels like yesterday, yet so much time has flown by. When I reflect back, all I can say is that I have seen God move in our family’s and church’s lives over and over again; whether in the times of blessing or in pain and sorrow.
We are so grateful that God ordered our steps and walked with us along this way. There are key moments, decisions and trusting in the Lord, when choices seemed limited and we really couldn’t have done much else, that shaped and refined us in deeper ways.
We truly stand before you as otherwise unqualified people, who are living proof that God uses all of us and all that we go through to produce endurance, character and hope. And with that comes joy and blessings. God is faithful!
So, I boast in the Lord today because when I look back at my life from the past to where I am today, there is no question that God was and is there every step of the way.
When I felt alone, He was there.
When I didn’t understand, God guided me through.
When I thought all was lost, He restored what the locusts devoured.
When I was insecure, He became my confidence.
God has been faithful through my childhood, marriage and has blessed our family. Today I boast in the Lord! He is my rock, my refuge and my strength. He is my Savior and my Redeemer. I am nothing without Him, but everything with Him! Thank you, Lord for your faithfulness!
Prayer
Lord our confidence and trust is in You. Help us to have that childlike faith, surrendering ourselves to You fully and allowing You to guide our steps even when we don’t understand. Jesus, we love You and praise You. Continue to work is us daily so your light shines through us so we can share the good news to those around us.
