about

History

In the early 1980s, Pastor Paul Bubna and the Elders of Long Hill Chapel in Chatham had a vision for starting a daughter church. About 15 members from Long Hill Chapel felt led to become the core for starting the new congregation. By the mid 1980s this group had grown to 60 people, and was ready to call a pastor with a heart for church planting. The name Grace Fellowship Chapel was selected by members because of its emphasis on Christ’s saving Grace and the need for Fellowship among believers.

The congregation met at various locations as the group enlarged and outgrew each meeting site. In 1993 it was learned that the Bedminster Reformed Church building was for sale. God worked out all the details for purchasing the building, and the first worship service at our present location was held on June 18, 1995.

Grace Fellowship Chapel is looking forward with purpose and vision for the next step God has for us in our journey together.
